Opus to sponsor Olympic hopeful

Opus Business Media is to lend its support to British sailor, Elliot Hanson. Hailing from Macclesfield in Cheshire, 20-year-old Elliot is a member of the British Sailing Team and is aiming to book a place on the Team GB sailing squad for the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil.

After a successful 2013 season, Elliot started 2014 ranked 24th in the world for the Men’s Laser category. Elliot is still eligible as a youth competitor but has started to make an impact on the senior circuit, appearing in both European and World competitions in 2013.

Opus will be sponsoring Elliot throughout a very important training period in the hope of helping him reach Rio 2016. Opus Financial Director, John Fuller, commented: “Elliot is a local lad and we wish him every success in the years running up to the Olympic Games. Opus is only too happy to support him in his quest to achieve his goal of appearing and winning a medal in Rio, and we will all be cheering him on, should he make it.”
